The OVX-6400 is a 6000 W / 6400 VA three-phase sine wave DC/AC inverter from the Spark Series, designed to draw power directly from the railway catenary. It converts 400–1000 Vdc catenary input into stable 400 Vac three-phase power for onboard locomotive, tram, and metro systems. An active catenary filter protects against input surges up to 3 kW.
Compliant with EN61287-1, EN50155, EN50124-2:2017. Input-output isolation 5200 Vrms. RS232 and CAN BUS interfaces, configurable voltage and frequency, soft-start. Model 7701Z adds 2800 V transient protection per EN50163. Dimensions: 87×430×450 mm; weight <12 kg.

In locomotive applications, this inverter powers auxiliary AC loads including cab electronics, lighting systems, engine management displays, and communication equipment from the locomotive's 72 V or 110 Vdc battery bus.
